Gordon to leave Honiton solicitors after 34 years

His stepping down coincides with the promotion of private client solicitor Martin Justice to Partner in the firm.

There is a changing of the guard at Everys Honiton office this month.

Gordon Lee, senior trust and probate lawyer, will be retiring from the firm on Friday (June 9).

His stepping down coincides with the promotion of private client solicitor Martin Justice to Partner in the firm.

Gordon is a well-known figure in Honiton, having been with Everys for more than 34 years.

He has also contributed to the local community through his work with local charities and also his involvement with Honiton Rugby Club.

Gordon said: “I will be sad to leave the firm after more than 34 years but I am looking forward to spending more time with my family and have lots of plans to travel.

“It is reassuring to know that my many clients will continue to be well served by my experienced and friendly colleagues at Everys.”

Martin Justice has been promoted to Partner in the Honiton office after being with the firm for five years.

As head of the Private Client Team at Everys, Martin has more than 17 years of experience in dealing with wills, inheritance tax planning, trusts and estates.

Martin said “I am very pleased to have become a Partner in a firm with such a long history and great reputation.

“While it is sad that Gordon will be leaving Everys, we still have an excellent 8 strong Private Client Team here in Honiton.

“I am looking forward to working with clients old and new and can assure them that they will continue to receive the same excellent service and friendly welcome from the staff at Everys.”
