The 1st Whimple Scouts reached their 12,000 target to repair the roof of their hut, but more money still needs to be raised - to pay for the additional costs.
The Scouts need to collect a further 2,000 and will be holding a mammoth jumble sale and auction on November 19 at their Whimple headquarters.
A novel feature of the event could help you fill your wardrobe with secondhand clothes for just a few pounds. Just bring along a bin bag to put your new purchases in.
Whimple Church donated 1,000 to help cover some of the costs, which totalled 15,300.
The jumble sale starts from 2pm - don’t forget to bring your own bin liners to fill with clothes for only 2.
