Grant for Mary Anning window

ST MICHAEL S Church in Lyme Regis received a grant towards the cost of repairs to its Mary Anning window. The Geological Society gave �1,000 towards the window, which was damaged during a break-in in September last year.

The Geological Society gave �1,000 towards the window, which was damaged during a break-in in September last year.

Although most of the damage had been repaired, part of the cost was not met by insurance.

Churchwarden Tim Bacon said: "We are truly grateful for the generosity of the Geological Society.
