Work to be carried out in the Blackdown Hills.
Efforts to conserve the brown hairstreak butterfly in Devon have been boosted by a grant of 1,500 to Butterfly Conservation.
The money, which came from the Sustainable Development Fund, will allow the charity to undertake an initial survey of hedgerow habitats in the Blackdown Hills, near Honiton.
Later in the year, volunteers will be recruited and trained to help in the second phase of the project.
