Grateful gran raises cash for baby unit

PATRONS of a Honiton pub and restaurant have raised £60 by trying to guess the weight of the landlady s grandchild.

PATRONS of a Honiton pub and restaurant have raised £60 by trying to guess the weight of the landlady's grandchild.

The elder daughter of Sue Jeffries was pregnant and Mrs Jeffries, of The Railway Inn, thought it was an excellent opportunity to raise money for the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital's Neo-Natal Unit after it cared for her two other grandchildren, who were born prematurely.

The latest edition to the Jeffries family is baby Mirabelle, weighing seven pounds and eight ounces.
