Green Ralley fuelled by enthusiasm

THE GREEN Vehicle Rally held at Seaton's Esplanade on Saturday (August 16) showed visitors ways of reducing their impact on the planet and save money.

THE GREEN Vehicle Rally held at Seaton's Esplanade on Saturday (August 16) showed visitors ways of reducing their impact on the planet - and save money.The Sustainable Seaton-organised event presented an impressive range of low or zero carbon vehicles and travel and energy advice.Sustainable Seaton member and organiser Claire Wise said: "The weather was wild and windy, but we went for it and almost all exhibitors still attended."We had fun, met new people and learnt lots. "We are so grateful to everyone who braved the weather and came to join in, exhibit or help on the day."A raffle held at the event raised over £80 for Sustainable Seaton, which will go towards raising awareness of green issues in the area, with the ultimate goal of reducing the community's dependency on oil.
