Seaton family fun event was ‘amazing’ say delighted organisers
Seaton GrizFest offered a feast of fun for all the family throughout the weekend.
A large number of community groups staged events during festival day, on Saturday afternoon, in Cliff Field Gardens.
And there was a field of more than 200 for the 2k family fun run and the 4k junior Grizzly.
Results for the 4K Junior Grizzly were:
Males: Under 11 - Samuel Pyne; under 13 - Alfie Devine Wright, under 15 - Charlie Smith.
Females: Under 11 - Sasha Davey, under 13 - Florence Swann, under 15 - Abigail Morgan.
Afterwards events in the gardens included Xtreme Falconry, Hugh the Balloon, the Royal British Legion with their legendary BBQ, bouncy castles, athletics badge testing for the local cubs, scouts and brownies and a large marquee bursting full of local community groups and stallholders.
A spokeswoman for the Axe Valley Runners, who organised the day, told The Herald: “It was an amazing afternoon despite the rather bizarre mix of weather – sea mist hail, an untimely rain shower and then blazing hot sun!
There was a high standard of entry in the best dressed Grizzly windows this year which was won jointly by Nat West Bank, with drawings from Colyton Primary School, and The Chattel Box. Joint second were Woody’s and The Cloth Shop. In third spot was East Devon Sports Therapy.
The hunt the Grizzly Teddy’s missing running kit was hosted by
