Seaton artist donates 200 to the flying medics
A PICTURE of Seaton’s world-famous running race – in all its “Grizzly” detail – has raised 200 for the Devon Air Ambulance.
The colourful and detailed painting of the seaside endurance run – substituting animals as competitors – was created by local artist and charity fund raiser Ursula Pratt.
She put a large print of the picture on sale in her Fore street Gallery and donated the 200 it fetched to the flying medics.
This week local air ambulance supporters Colin Pearce and Jean Beardsell went along to collect a giant cheque on behalf of the charity.
* Mrs Pratt was recently presented with an MBE by Prince Charles in recognition of her fund raising work.
She received the honour after helping to raise more than 170,000 for worthy causes, over nearly 20 years.
