Axminster-based healthy eating charity HALFF is offering some tasty advice for people who live alone.
It is inviting people to join its Cooking for One group and learn to spice up their menus.
Based at the Food Hub in South Street, Axminster, the sessions are aimed at people in a culinary rut – often relying on the ‘meals for one’ at the supermarket rather than cooking something fresh at home.
A spokesman said: “The group helps to support people living alone with simple, healthy cookery demonstrations, drop-in support sessions and a twice monthly newsletter.
“People can learn time-saving hints and tips to make cooking for one more enjoyable, plus learning more about what they eat, nutrition, food preparation and budgeting.”
To find out more, contact email@example.com, call on 01297 631782 or go along to one of the drop-in sessions taking place at the HALFF Food Hub. They take place every Tuesday from 11am to 2pm and every Thursday from 10am to 1pm.
Organisers added: “There is no need to book, just come along, meet new people and taste what has been prepared before you head home.”
