Fund-raising cycle ride and quiz night raise more than £2,000 for the Baton charity.

The landlord of The Otter Inn, Weston, Lester Curnow, and assistant bar manager Tom Sellick have raised more than £2,000 for the Honiton-based Baton charity after completing their End to End cycle challenge.

The pair, together with the support of Dave Pople, spent 12 days battling the elements when they cycled from John O’Groats to Land’s End.

Lester said: “It was a fantastic experience - I really enjoyed it. I achieved everything I wanted to achieve out of it.”

The pub held a successful charity quiz night and raffle on Friday to celebrate their return, which was attended by 75 people. They have raised £2,300, so far, for the Baton.

Lester is already planning his next cycle challenge.
