Consultation begins to discuss proposals being put forward by Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service in response to Government funding cuts.
Residents in East Devon are being urged to have their say on proposals being put forward by Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service in response to funding cuts.
The consultation period started this week and runs until April 22.
Cllr Mark Healey, Chairman of the Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Authority, said: “We would welcome the public’s views on the proposals to meet the reduction in Government funding.
“In the meantime, we will continue to lobby Government for a better settlement for Devon and Somerset.”

The fire service has to make savings of £5.5million after its grant settlement from the Government was cut.
Chief Fire Officer Lee Howell added: “None of the proposals involve closing fire stations, removing fire engines or making staff compulsorily redundant. We are preparing for a future where we believe we will see further reductions in our funding.”
