Firefighters called to scene.
Reports of a hazardous material spillage in High Street, Honiton, saw one of the town’s two fire engines sent to the at lunchtime today.
When they arrived, firefighters found one private car on the highway leaking petrol.
A spokesman for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said: “Crews used environmental kit to stem the petrol leak.”
