HEALTH and social care for the over 50s will be discussed when Honiton Senior Council holds an open meeting on September 7.

Caroline Lee, of the East Devon Volunteer Support Agency, will be the guest speaker. She is expected to talk about allowances and care services.

Mrs Lee works with LINk, a newletter considered the voice for health and social care in Devon.

She said: "It is really good to have the time and opportunity to reflect on and learn about public health and social care policy, which I find very interesting and challenging."

Senior council chairman Tony Smith said: "She may have the answer for your problem."

The meeting will take place at 10.30am in the hall at the Royal British Legion Club, Dowell Street.

Free refreshments will be served at the event.
