Police warn householders to keep their outside fuel tanks secure

Domestic heating oil worth around £250 has been stolen from a storage tank outside a house in Kilmington.

The theft took place some time between November 8 and Sunday, December 1.

Axminster police are keen to hear from anyone who may have information about the incident.

They are asked to call them on 101 and quote crime reference ka/13/644 .

PC Simon Rodgers added: “Please can I also ask all residents with outside fuel tanks to be extra vigilant and make sure that tanks have adequate security in place.

“If anyone wishes to receive further crime prevention advice please can they contact local neighbourhood team at Axminster Police Station.”
