SUSTAINABLE Seaton is offering residents advice on how to save energy and cut bills.

The group, which is at the Seaton Community Centre in Fore Street every Monday between 1pm and 3pm, is recommending people reduce their winter fuel bill through loft and cavity wall insulation.

Installations are free of charge for over 70s and those in private rented accommodation, with most others costing no more than 190.

Member Claire Wise said: "Sustainable Seaton can assist local residents in applying for either a total grant (or a very much reduced price) to have this work done by qualified installers.

"This excellent scheme, through Devon Warm Zones, will not only save residents money - but will also reduce household emissions and help future generations."

Sustainable Seaton is also offering a 'green' library to residents at the centre. Books and DVDs can be borrowed free of charge from the centre when the group is based there.

Positive News, a quarterly paper full of good news from around the world, will be available free from the centre.
