Staff donate non-perishable food to The King’s Centre initiative.
Staff at the Midweek Herald have rallied to support families in food crisis in Honiton.
Over the past week, they have been collecting non-perishable foodstuffs, including baked beans, rice and biscuits, to donate to The King’s Centre Food Bank, which opened last week.
The donation was delivered earlier today (Friday) by Herald photographer Alex Walton.
Next month, Herald staff are staging a sponsored sleep out in Honiton to raise cash for the food bank, as well as the Community Action Team and debt counselling service based at The King’s Centre.
The initiative is being sponsored by East Devon District Council and supported by town councillor Sharon Pavey.
