Dennis Retter’s death was announced last Friday.
The long-standing chairman of Honiton Sea Anglers has died after a short illness.
Dennis Retter’s death was announced last Friday.
A spokesman for the Anglers said: “Club members have been devastated with the news.
“Dennis, who was from Offwell, had helped so many sea anglers from all over the south west the with his tuition.

“He had in fact managed the England casting team for many years and had been in the team on numerous occasions.”
The club will announce more details on the final arrangements in due course.
