A PICTURE painted by a Honiton artist is to go on display at the Art Materials Live exhibition, being staged at Birmingham NEC in November.
Linda Wilkes, 53, is one of 30 artists who will be exhibiting at the event.
Her gouache painting depicts a singing wren on a branch of a blackberry bush, which is overhanging a village post box.
It was selected following a Simply The Best competition, organised by The Leisure Painter magazine.
Born in Plymouth, Linda started painting 25 years ago.
She specialises in wildlife scenes - always careful to include animals' habitats. Her love of the Devon countryside and its wildlife is her great inspiration.
She is a member of the Devon Wildlife Trust, along with three local art societies. One of her paintings was voted Best in Show by the people's vote at the recent Axe Vale Festival.
Linda recently led a workshop for Axminster Art Society.
