DETAILED plans for a new Aldi store have been recommended for approval by Honiton Town Council's planning committee.
Aldi has already gained outline planning permission for the development, on the site of Slade's Countrywise at Turks Head.
Town councillors last week reiterated their support for the introduction of pedestrian crossings and bus shelters, together with improved bus services, in the vicinity of the store.
They want the Highways Agency come to an agreement as soon as possible over road improvements at Turks Head. Councillors are keen to see improvements put in place at the time of development.
