Honiton Band pays tribute to Chris Tratt

IN the week that mourners will gather to pay their last respects to the Mayor of Honiton, Councillor Chris Tratt, tributes have continued to be sent into the Herald's website.

IN the week that mourners will gather to pay their last respects to the Mayor of Honiton, Councillor Chris Tratt, tributes have continued to be sent into the Herald's website.Sharon Dibsdall, the honorary secretary for Honiton Band, wrote: "Along with everyone else in Honiton, Honiton Band were shocked and saddened by the loss of the town's Mayor Chris Tratt. "We were always touched by the fondness he expressed for the Band and were particularly pleased to have been able to support him during the recent Gronau Twinning trip. "His tremendous enthusiasm for and work on behalf of Honiton and its many organisations, will be greatly missed. "But just as importantly, we shall miss his friendly, easy manner, his sense of humour and his modesty. "Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to his wife Jean and their family."The funeral is set to take place today, Wednesday, at St Paul's Church, Honiton, at noon.The service will be followed by a private cremation. Family flowers only but donations can be given to a fund in memory of Mr Tratt.
