Members of the popular Honiton Carers Support Group met outdoors recently for the first time since lockdown.
Win Cameron, who leads the group, said: “A total of 26 carers turned up for a coffee and a chat and what a wonderful time we all had sitting at tables of four in a Covid-safe fashion.
“It was absolutely wonderful to see everybody again. We can’t wait for June 21 to come when we can mix freely and be together properly.
“However, this meeting provided a welcome start to getting back to normal.”
Honiton Carers will be meeting for coffee and conversation every Wednesday until July provided the government’s road map to recovery from the coronavirus pandemic remains on schedule.
Win added: “From July 14 we are back in the Methodist Church in Honiton on the second Wednesday of each month, from 2pm to 4pm.”
