Honiton: Carnival emergency after snake found in garden

MARSHALS and police had to act quickly when an animal expert urgently needed access to Dowell Street during last Saturday s Honiton and District Carnival procession.

MARSHALS and police had to act quickly when an animal expert urgently needed access to Dowell Street during last Saturday's Honiton and District Carnival procession.

The woman was on a call out to rescue a snake, believed to be a cobra, from someone's back garden.

Marshals escorted the woman's van up High Street and police moved spectators away from a road block at Dowell Street.
