Honiton Carnival 2015 passed without any major issues, say police.

The annual event was enjoyed by dozens of residents and visitors, with only a few minor incidents later in the evening.

Honiton PCSO Steve Mingo said: “Alcohol, tobacco and ‘NOS’ canisters were seized from persons under 18 and disposed of.

“One person was arrested for drunk and disorderly behaviour and there was one community resolution as a result of an assault.

“Most people were in good spirits and the weather was kind to us this year as well.

“There were a few groups of teenagers underage and in possession of alcohol but frequent stop searches throughout the evening meant that a quantity was seized and disposed of.”
