The East Devon Business Initiative (EDBI) teed off fundraising efforts for Honiton charity See the Future - holding a golfing event with a difference.

The event, at Woodbury Park Hotel, was held after the networking group’s big breakfast.

Around £300 was raised by the golfers taking part, who were fined for infractions such as having their mobile phones on loud and hitting golf balls into the bunkers.

See the Future is the EDBI’s chosen charity of the year and was set up by Leanne Greengrass to fund vital research into conditions causing sight loss.

Leanne said she was over the moon about the ‘fantastic’ amount raised and added: “I can’t thank all the supporters enough.”
