HONITON Town Council is being recommended by its policy committee to provide a grant of �500 towards the appointment of a children's officer at St Paul's Church.
Councillors have been told the officer's role will be to develop activities for children in Honiton and the surrounding area.
The church had requested a grant of �1,000. The application will be determined next week.
