TEACHERS Gill Walker and Hazel Platt have left Honiton community College after serving a combined total of 45 years at the school."I have made many friends amongst the staff, students and parents, whom I will miss. But, as I am now teaching the children of past students, I think it's probably time to go before their grandchildren start to arrive in front of me," said Gill. She is looking forward to going on holiday in term-time!Hazel said: "After nearly 20 years at the college, I will miss being part of life here. I have enjoyed teaching literally hundreds of students and it has been a privilege to be part of their educational lives."My own four children came to the college. They, too, remember the college with great affection.
