POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a 67-year-old driver was pronounced dead at the scene following a collision near Honiton yesterday (Sunday).

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a 67-year-old driver was pronounced dead at the scene following a collision near Honiton yesterday (Sunday).

The un-named man was driving a silver-coloured Citroen Berlingo between Honiton Golf Club and the A35 when the vehicle left Tower Road and collided with fencing, coming to rest in a ditch.

The crash happened at around midday.

Witnesses are asked to call police on 08452 777444, quoting log number 393 of January 31.
