A Honiton-based mental health support group will be holding a sponsored walk this month.

Open Arms East Devon, which operates from Dunning Court, will be taking its members - and their family and friends - on a walk to find the 21 blue historical plaques in Honiton. As part of the event, participants will learn the history of Honiton, while raising important funds for the organisation.

The event takes place on Sunday, September 30, at 10.30am starting from Dunning Court.

Open Arms East Devon was founded by Garry Wakeham last year, following a mental breakdown caused by the death of his son Steven, 32, in 2016. The group gives people suffering from mental health problems a safe place to interact and partake in group activities.
