Phonak has awarded the centre 'consultant approved' accreditation, which recognises it as offering an outstanding level of care to its customers and best practice in audiology.

Honiton Hearing Centre has received accreditation from the world’s leading manufacturer of hearing instruments.

Phonak has awarded the centre ‘consultant approved’ accreditation, which recognises it as offering an outstanding level of care to its customers and best practice in audiology.

To qualify under the scheme and become recognised as a centre of excellence, Colin Eaton, audiologist at Honiton Hearing Centre, and Samantha Eaton, patient care co-ordinator, were required to pass a series of audits against best practice set by an independent advisory panel.

The group is made up of some of the best clinicians in the country, including Harley Street audiologist Rony Ganguly and Professor Quentin Summerfield from the University of York.

Mr Eaton said: “We are extremely proud to have achieved ‘consultant approved’ accreditation from Phonak as part of the new scheme.

“It is a great way for us to illustrate to customers the level of experience and loyalty that we can offer here at Honiton Hearing Centre, while also allowing us to ensure we are delivering consistently high standards that exceed industry standards.

“We are very proud to add this to the Association of Independent Hearing Healthcare Professionals’ centre of excellence award we achieved shortly after we opened, and shows our commitment to providing the very best of customer care to our clients in and around Honiton.

“We would also like to thank all our customers, and friends here in Honiton for their support, feedback and advice, which have enabled us to be so successful.”

Graham Hilton, Phonak’s professional services director, added: “We are proud of our long standing relationship with Honiton Hearing Centre and the Consultant Approved Site programme is a way of promoting the outstanding quality service and expertise that they deliver every day.

“As market leader, we want to make it easier for members of the general public to find the best possible help and we are confident the consultant approved site will help people navigate the market.”

Honiton Hearing Centre is based in New Street and serves the town, wider Devon and the South West.
