MIDWEEK Herald editor Belinda Bennett is pictured thanking Dave Hardy, of Honiton, for donating a mobility scooter to a reader.
Mr Hardy personally delivered the scooter to the woman, who suffers from Parkinson's disease, this afternoon (Thursday, October 8).
He gave the woman a demonstration of how the scooter works and presented her with documentation, including a user manual and service history.
Mr Hardy, who has undergone operations on his back, no longer needs the scooter because he has a new, larger one.
The grateful recipient thanked the Herald and Mr Hardy.
She is looking forward to using the scooter to pop to her corner shop and for trips along Sidmouth seafront.
The Midweek Herald has yet another scooter to give away to a deserving reader. It has been donated by a Honiton woman, who has asked to remain anonymous.
It is being offered in memory of the late Joe Gilson.
