Honiton murder accused to appear at crown court this week

Keith Beviss, aged 54, of Woodhayes Drive, Honiton, is charged with the murder of Philip Ryan at the hall in Dowell Street, Honiton, on Tuesday June 6.

A man accused of murdering an electrician as he was working at a Jehovah’s Witness hall will appear at Exeter Crown Court this week.

Keith Beviss, aged 54, of Woodhayes Drive, Honiton, is charged with the murder of Philip Ryan at the hall in Dowell Street, Honiton, on Tuesday June 6.

Mr Ryan, a 55-year-old married electrician from Westward Ho!, North Devon, was found with stab wounds inside the Jehovah Witness Kingdom Hall.

Beviss, who is remanded in custody, will face a preliminary hearing on Thursday.
