Honiton needs Primark, etc

I am so sorry to hear we are about to lose our Marks & Spencer. Now Woolworths has gone, Lace Walk will look like an empty street.It's a pity stores like Morrisons, Wilkins and Primark can't be tempted to come to Honiton.As for the person who said Honiton had too many charity shops, if this credit crunch gets worse, they may be the only shops people can afford to go to.Honiton is a lovely town and, I think, very lucky to have such good butchers, fish shop and a choice of really good cafes.I hope it doesn't decline any further as the town would become a very sad place.Jo BrightBy email
