PROBLEM parking in Oaklea, Honiton, has been made a priority to resolve by police in the town.
Pc Ian Atyeo told Honiton Town Council last week that patrols have been stepped up in the area and that vehicles found to be causing an obstruction or in any other breach of the law will be booked.
Devon County Council is investigating ways of reducing inappropriate parking on the private residential estate.
Workers, who can't or won't pay for parking, are using the estate as a free car park to avoid East Devon District Council fees.
Police are to provide the council with a breakdown of patrols but, for data protection reasons, will not be able to impart information about individual logs.
