The year six youngsters learned about what the dogs do on a day-to-day basis and, at the end of the presentation, were treated to a display in the playground.

Pupils from Honiton Primary School received a visit from a special police unit to learn about dog handling.

Honiton PCSO Steve Mingo said: “This was a good example of community engagement and a great opportunity for the police to engage with young people and let them know we are always here to help.”
