LEST we forget: Honiton will remember the fallen during a series of remembrance events, starting today (Wednesday, November 4).

A Royal British Legion service and concert will be staged at 7.30pm in the Royal British Legion Hall. Honiton-born vicar, the Reverend Alistair McCollum, of Kilmington, will lead the service. Honiton Band will lead the concert. Entry is free, but a collection will be made for the Poppy Appeal.

Sunday, November 8: Annual Remembrance Parade. The parade will leave New Street car park at 2.45pm, followed by a service in St Paul's Church at 3pm. The Bishop of Crediton, the Right Reverend Bob Evens, will be present.

Wednesday, November 11: At 11am there will be a short Act of Remembrance at the war memorial outside St Paul's Church. The event will follow the traditional two minute silence.
