HONITON'S 'new' police sergeant is already at home in his new job - the switch merely entailed a move down a corridor at the town's police station.

Sergeant Martin Burrow, 35, has been based in Honiton for three years, previously working as a response sergeant.

His new role will see him engaging with the community and leading the neighbourhood beat team.

"I am looking forward to a totally different challenge and continuing the good work already being carried out by the neighbourhood team," Sergeant Burrow told the Herald.

The married father-of-two is a keen supporter of Exeter Chiefs rugby team and enjoys running.

He wants to encourage people to come forward with their concerns about issues in Honiton and says he wants to take a proactive approach to solving problems.

You can now email Honiton police station to share your non-urgent neighbourhood concerns - honiton@devonandcornwall.pnn.police.uk
