IN 1932 there was only one hospital in Britain that offered women free radium treatment.
IN 1932 there was only one hospital in Britain that offered women free radium treatment.
That hospital was in London and only provided Devon patients with treatment after a fundraising campaign to provide a dedicated 'Devon bed'.
A significant part of the �2,000 appeal was donated by a Honiton resident.
