Honiton: Residents in bid to call town poll

THE chairman of the Northcote Lane Area Residents Association, Ken Sherman, is attempting to force a town poll over Honiton Town Council plans to press ahead with plans for a �1.75 million community centre complex.

THE chairman of the Northcote Lane Area Residents' Association, Ken Sherman, is attempting to force a town poll over Honiton Town Council plans to press ahead with plans for a �1.75 million community centre complex on the long stay car park behind Lace Walk.

The Midweek Herald has received a copy of a petition calling for a town poll, signed by 23 local residents.

The matter was not discussed by the council at its March meeting, held on Monday.
