Honiton's air cadets aim to show off their facilities

Potential high-fliers from across East Devon are being invited to Honiton Air Cadets' next open day on Sunday (January 29).

The event, at the 1064 Squadron’s HQ at 1 King Street, is open to anyone in year eight or above and runs from 2pm to 4pm.

The unit attracts members from across the region including Axminster, Seaton, Honiton and Ottery St Mary.

Activities on offer to the cadets include flying, gliding, shooting, fieldcraft, Duke of Edinburgh Award, adventure training, drill and ceremonial training, along with the opportunity to make new friends and just have fun.

Flt Lt Justin Felice RAFVR(T), Officer Commanding 1064 (Honiton) Sqn, said: “This recruitment afternoon allows potential cadets and their parents to see our great facilities, what we do and what fantastic opportunities are available.”
