Honiton’s well known community and arts venue, The Beehive, has been awarded a prestigious award.
The venue was given the ‘best venue’ accolade at the 373 Business Awards, held at Escot House in Ottery, on July 12.
Nearly 50 businesses were shortlisted for the 10 different award categories, each recognising and praising outstanding companies across Devon and Somerset.
The Beehive’s director of marketing Jemma Browning and deputy operations manager Katheryn Hope attended the awards to represent the venue.
Jemma said: “It was a lovely surprise to discover we have been nominated for these awards and we are thrilled to have won ‘best venue’ in recognition of the hard work and dedication of our fantastic team volunteers, trustees and staff.”
The team running the venue, known as the Honiton Community Complex Charity, includes more than 100 volunteers and staff.
Since opening in 2014, the Beehive has welcomed more than 59,000 people and has been used by more than 80 community organisations.
