Honiton students rewarded for their efforts

The youngsters were presented with certificates by Councillor Caroline Kolek, chairman of the council.

Students from Honiton Community College have received awards from the town council, recognising their efforts.

The youngsters were presented with certificates by Councillor Caroline Kolek, chairman of the council. Glenn Smith, principal of Honiton Community College, thanked the town council for its continued support of the college.

He added: “The town council awards celebrate the termly efforts of students. Though only 10 are chosen each time, many more are nominated and they all receive recognition, too.

“The college has developed an extremely positive culture that is embedding the belief that is really is cool to be clever.”

The honoured students were Bea Bandyszewska, Jack Lane, Tamzin Marsh, Gabriel Parker-Gifford, Oliver Gorman, Bryony Marshallsay, Ben Moulton, Laura-Beth Outram, Hollie Borkowski, and Tiegan Chipping.

Some of the students were unable to attend the presentation.
