Sixth form students from Honiton Community College completed their last training session this week before taking on their latest ambitious fundraiser - the Three Peaks Challenge.
The pupils will be climbing the highest mountains of England, Scotland and Wales - Scafell Pike, Ben Nevis and Snowdon - within a 24-hour period.
If the students successfully complete the challenge, they would have managed to travel a total horizontal distance of 26 miles. A spokeswoman for Honiton Community College said: “The team of Carys Lilley, Cerys Little, Weasel Hooper, Rachel Larcombe, Ben Prangley and Sam Prangley have amazed the rest of the college with their determination to succeed and raise money for their chosen charity, Dartmoor Rescue.
