PRE-BOOKED appointments at Honiton Surgery will be limited during a switch to a new computer system.
The current system, which is 20 years old, is being up-dated and, from the end of April to May 17, pre-booked appointments are being restricted.
A spokesperson for the surgery said: "We are planning the changeover carefully, which we hope will go smoothly. "However we would ask you to be patient whilst we sort out any initial problems.
"To ensure a smooth transition, there will be very few pre-bookable appointments after the end of April and, therefore, we ask patients to be understanding during this transition process.
"An emergency service will run for patients that need to be seen in the areas of urgent blood tests, treatment room clinics and doctor surgeries for patients that need to be seen urgently.
"All chronic disease clinics and routine appointments will commence again from Monday, May 17."
