Honiton teenager made subject of interim ASBO
Woman, 19, must change her ways.
A TEENAGER from Honiton has been issued with an interim anti-social behaviour order by Central Devon Magistrates’ Court.
Victoria Louise Williams, from George Street, was handed the interim order at a hearing on Monday as a result of action brought by Devon and Cornwall Constabulary.
The 19-year-old is well known to police in the town for continued reports of anti-social behaviour, which have included intimidating behaviour to members of the public, rowdy and nuisance behaviour, as well as acting in a disorderly manner and committing criminal offences.
The chairman of the bench, Mrs Hubbick, said: “It is just to grant an interim anti-social behaviour order in the terms presented, which are subject to amendments.”
The terms of the order include a ban on encouraging others to act in an anti-social manner that causes, or is likely to cause, harassment, alarm or distress, using or encouraging others to use abusive, offensive, or intimidating language or behaviour in any public space in Honiton. Williams will also be in breach of the order if she is found drinking, or in possession of alcohol, in an open container in any public space, excluding enclosed licensed premises.
She is also prohibited from associating with named individuals in public places and social congregations in a group of three or more people on the public highway or public open space in a manner likely to cause any person to fear for their own safety.
