THE Honiton Friends of FORCE (pictured above) raised �400 with a cream tea, held at the end of last month.
A spokesman for the group said: "This is a terrific amount, especially in the current economic climate.
"We would like to thank everyone who came along and supported the event."
The charity is based in Exeter and raises funds for a Cancer Support Centre, for local cancer research and for purchasing essential equipment for the Oncology Unit, at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital.
