A Honiton woman has conquered a mountain in France - thanks to a mobility scooter donated by a scheme based in the town.
Carla Salisbury, 59, trundled up Mont Ventoux on her scooter while her husband, Richard, completed a challenge to cycle up and down the mountain three times.
She said: “We supported each other during the climb, and it wouldn’t have been possible without Carol Gilson, founder of the Joe Gilson Mobility Scheme. I have been a lot more mobile on my holidays this year thanks to her scheme.”
Carla, who has a condition which causes her great pain in her back, received the scooter from the mobility scheme in July this year.
