SEATON and District Lions Club has awarded a long serving member with a prestigious award. Graham Lawlor was presented with the President's Appreciation Award at the club's recent meeting for his work over a number of years on the welfare committee.

SEATON and District Lions Club has awarded a long serving member with a prestigious award.Graham Lawlor was presented with the President's Appreciation Award at the club's recent meeting for his work over a number of years on the welfare committee.He was particularly commended for organising the senior citizens' Christmas lunch, which Lions said was a successful and popular venture.The club also announced their first collection this year at the Co-op store raised �200.The money will go to Seaton Fire Station's First Response Team, and the club thanked the store and all the people who supported them.The next collection will be on March 13, in aid of St John's Youth Section.The next fundraising event will be a Table Top Sale on Saturday, April 11, at the town hall.
