Kilmington Open Gardens a blooming success.

More than £1,000 was raised for good causes in Kilmington when gardeners in the village invited visitors to enjoy their carefully cultivated creations.

The horticultural delight, featuring 12 gardens and the village allotments, was enjoyed by visitors from far and wide, including many locals, last weekend.

Organised by Paul and Celia Dunsford, Kilmington Open Gardens has been hailed a blooming success.

Ticket and plant sales raised £791 and an additional £276 was collected from the sale of cream teas, provided by members of St Giles’ Church.

The church, along with other local causes, will benefit from the proceeds.
