CATERING supremo Mary Bolshaw will be 'on duty' when Hospiscare's Honiton support group holds one of the biggest events on its fundraising calendar on Saturday (June 14).
CATERING supremo Mary Bolshaw will be 'on duty' when Hospiscare's Honiton support group holds one of the biggest events on its fundraising calendar on Saturday (June 14).The group's annual summer market, taking place in the Mackarness Hall from 9am to 3pm, will boast top quality items, including individual goods displayed in collections.Old bottles, tea spoons, postcards, thimbles and buttons will be available to buy, along with a huge selection of garden sticks bearing humorous slogans.Kitchenware, cakes, jams and plants will also be available. Support group chairman Eileen Rooke, who is still reeling from the pleasant surprise of fine weather for Hospiscare's annual plant sale in Honiton, traditionally blighted by heavy rain, said: "Quality books, curtains, jewellery and clothes, in sizes from 10 to 22, will also be on sale."We also have large England flags available, and light lunches will be on offer."Town crier Dave Retter has agreed to support the event and will be publicising it on the day, in the town centre.
