MOTORISTS seem to be getting the message about unauthorised parking at Honiton Community Hospital.

MOTORISTS seem to be getting the message about unauthorised parking at Honiton Community Hospital. During a recent monitoring exercise, hospital manager Sarah Dent and matron Janet McKay found no inappropriate parking at times previously considered favourites with those avoiding pay and display charges elsewhere. In a report, submitted by Ms Dent to the hospital's league of friends, it was revealed nobody catching 7.50am and 9am trains used the main hospital car park. Other staff had carried out similar checks and had managed to deter inappropriate parking, Ms Dent reported. Space in the car park is at a premium and Devon Primary Care Trust is keen to ensure spaces are reserved for genuine hospital users.
